The Ocotillo looks like a dead and dried up twig during the hot desert summer. When the rains come, as if by magic, they come alive and sprout leaves along their thorny stem.
The many ocotillo form a forest of color as they bloom.
Scattered through out the landscape the ocotillo and brittlebush create a magnificent garden.
